Huma Qureshi is not afraid to take challenges. A few months ago, this Bollywood actress surprised everyone in the ‘Maharani 2’ series. This time, Huma is coming in a completely different form in the film Double XL. The story of this film is woven around the dreams of two obese young women. These two young women were ridiculed for being obese. Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi will be seen in the main two roles of ‘Double XL’. These two heroines had to go through various challenges due to the need of the character. Huma gained about 20 kilos.
In this context, he said, ‘In the film “Double XL”, I played the role of a simple girl named Rajshree Trivedi. A girl growing up in a small town dreams of a sky. But when I heard about gaining weight for the role of Rajshree, I was scared at first. All the people close to me and whom I trusted a lot, each and every one of them forbade me to do the film. According to them, I will make a big mistake if I do the picture. This is where my career will end. But I did not listen to anyone’s words. I hardened my mind. And decided to do the film “Double XL”.
Huma also said, ‘Rajshree’s character gave me a taste of liberation, made me mentally stronger. And so the feeling of shooting this film was great. The film made me tough and confident.’
Talking about taking up new challenges one after another, Huma said, ‘In our country, good characters are rarely written for girls. And so I don’t hesitate to take the chance of a good role. Swimming against the current is very difficult. Sometimes it seems stupid. But I want to keep up the balance. I want to act in such roles, for which people will love me. And people will remember me for the rest of my life that I tried to do something new and exceptional.’
‘Double XL’ is directed by Satram Ramani. This director has served a serious issue of society in a humorous twist. Zaheer Iqbal and Mahat Raghavendra are the main two male characters of the film. The film will release on November 4.
